White Peach Sangria is perfect for summer entertaining when you’re looking for a refreshing drink featuring fresh fruits in season.

My husband is a huge fan of sangria, whether it’s red or white. Sangria is just a mixture of wine, liquors, fruit juices and fresh fruit. The wine doesn’t have to be expensive since it’s mixed together with juices, so it’s a fairly economical summer drink if you’re entertaining guests.

Recently, we celebrated  the last night with our relatives from Taiwan with an American barbecue. I made a smorgasbord of sorts.  I wasn’t sure our relatives were going to have dinner at home, so I didn’t prepare anything, so when I heard from my sister-in-law that they indeed wanted to have dinner at our house, I rushed out to the supermarket. Little did I know that the store was closing at 8PM that night and I had ten minutes to shop. I felt like I was on a combination of  Guy Fieri’s Grocery Games and Chopped.

Rushing home with an assortment of chicken, salmon, steak, and fresh summer vegetables, I threw together a feast for everyone. Fortunately, we have a large grill and a very handy brother-in-law who jumped in to help.

What luck that I happened to have made a pitcher of this White Peach Sangria a few days beforehand. This sangria takes advantage of fresh white peaches that have been in season here. I picked up a box of white peaches from Costco’s and saved a few to make this sangria.  If you’ve never tried a white peach, you must. White peaches are much more fragrant and sweeter than yellow peaches.

Everyone enjoyed this White Peach Sangria – refreshing and fragrant, it’s a nice drink to kick back and relax with on a warm summer night. Best served chilled with ice.

In general I love sangria, but especially white sangria! There’s something about the light summery flavors that I prefer more to the heavier reds. So lucky you happened to have a pitcher of this at hand!

I think white sangria’s are so much more refreshing than reds, and adding white peaches just seals the deal, lovely!

Now this is a recipe that is a keeper!! I have it printed and already placed in my binder… I can positively assure you that years from now it will still be there, only it will be fondly splattered with peach juice, etc. Sounds like you all had a fabulous meal, and I’m certain this Sangria was the perfect complement.

SUPER like! I almost always get only white peaches because they are close to very sweet Japanese peaches I grew up eating. Sangria with white peach… this for sure will be my favorite drink this summer. I’m a bit too excited by imagining the flavor.
