These Buffalo Chicken Burgers with Celery Carrot Slaw have all the flavors of the ever popular Buffalo chicken wing in slider form. They’re perfect for Game Day, Super Bowl parties, or pretty much any party. Sponsored by Peapod.
Football has always been a huge part of our family. My husband is a football fanatic and my boys grew up tossing a football in the backyard during halftime. Football snacks are also a big tradition at our house. When all my boys were living at home,  I’d make Game Day snacks every Sunday afternoon for them to nosh on while the football games played in the family room.
Now that we only have one son at home, I don’t make big spreads of Game Day snacks, but I do still make some football snacks for my husband and son to enjoy while they’re watching the games.
Buffalo chicken wings have been a favorite ever since college. My husband and I met in college and I fondly remember ordering super hot Buffalo chicken wings, including “nuclear” wings, as our midnight snacks after studying. Although I still love Buffalo chicken wings, they’re a little messy to serve at parties. So, I came up with these Buffalo Chicken Sliders for Peapod.
These Buffalo chicken burgers or sliders are topped with a crunchy celery carrot ranch slaw so they have all the flavors of Buffalo chicken wings, celery, carrots and ranch dressing, in each bite. They are easy to make, delicious and not nearly as messy as chicken wings. Plus, everyone gets some veggies in each bite.
Making Buffalo Chicken Burgers
First, combine the Buffalo chicken burger mixture ~ ground chicken (or turkey), onions, garlic, egg, hot sauce, cornstarch, salt and pepper. The mixture might seem a bit soft if you use ground chicken. You can either refrigerate the mixture to let it firm up a bit, or just use a big spoon and scoop it into a hot oiled skillet and spread it out with the spoon into patties. You can also substitute ground turkey, which I find to be a big firmer in texture.
Then, mix up the celery carrot slaw, which is simply thinly sliced carrots, shredded carrots and ranch yogurt dressing.
I brushed some extra hot sauce on the cooked burgers and then served these Buffalo chicken sliders on whole grain slider rolls.
These Buffalo chicken burgers are great for parties because they satisfy both Buffalo chicken lowers and slider lovers.

Instructions
Buffalo Chicken Burgers
-
Place chicken, onion, garlic, egg, 3 tablespoons Frank's Original Hot Sauce, cornstarch, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Mix together well. Heat oil in large skillet. Use a spoon to scoop up meat mixture and place in hot skillet, forming a round patty. Flip patties once bottoms are browned. Cook patties until done. Brush patties with remaining tablespoon of hot sauce.
Celery Carrot Ranch Slaw
-
In a medium bowl, toss together celery, carrot and ranch dressing.
To Serve
-
Toast slider buns. Place cooked patties on slider bun bottoms. Spoon some celery carrot ranch slaw on top. Cover with bun tops. Use toothpick to hold sliders together and serve.
Recipe Notes
Ground chicken tends to be softer than ground turkey or beef, so the mixture may seem a bit wet. You can refrigerate to firm up the meat, or just use a large spoon to scoop the meat into the hot skillet and flatten into a round patty.
