Pumpkin Coconut Turmeric Mousse is a decadently healthy dessert, made with just six ingredients. Sponsored by MegaFood.
It’s officially pumpkin season and I’ve been thinking of new ways to enjoy this carotene (an antioxidant) rich squash. I made this Pumpkin Coconut Turmeric Mousse for my sister-in-law and her husband over the weekend.
This recipe uses just six ingredients – pureed pumpkin, coconut cream, maple syrup, pumpkin spice mix, vanilla, and MegaFood’s Daily Turmeric Nutrient Booster Powder.
Tumeric Health Benefits
Turmeric has been used in Asia for thousands of years in cooking (think Indian curries and Thai food) and Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine.I added MegaFood Daily Turmeric to this pumpkin dessert because of its health benefits. It helps maintain your body’s ability to respond in a healthy manner to mental and physical stress*. Turmeric also helps maintain a healthy whole body inflammatory response*.
Big “T” Transparency
Today, I’d like to share a little about MegaFood’s Big “T” Transparency  initiative. According to the dictionary, transparency, means: “able to be seen through, easy to notice or understand, honest and open, not secretive.”
I’m all for transparency. What you see is what you get. There are no layers to dig through, no fluff, just the truth. Kind of like this Pumpkin Coconut Turmeric Mousse, made with all whole ingredients.
MegaFood’s Big “T” Transparency is all about building trust by being transparent about their production processes. This includes ingredient sourcing, product development, product testing, and auditing.
When I toured MegaFood’s factory, I learned about MegaFood’s close partnerships with family farms that provide their ingredients. Each of these ingredients is tested to ensure purity. I was impressed by the quality checks throughout the production process.
There are even live cams throughout the facility that you can watch online to see every step of the production process.
It’s easy to be transparent when you have nothing to hide.
Pumpkin Coconut Turmeric Mousse
Now, let’s get to this decadently healthy Pumpkin Coconut Turmeric Mousse. This is a no-cook recipe that is so easy to make. The key is to refrigerate the coconut cream and pumpkin overnight so they are super cold when you whip them up.
First, whip cold coconut cream until thick and fluffy. If you can only find coconut milk, you will need to drain any liquid off before whipping.
Pumpkin puree and the rest of the ingredients are blended together in a food processor. Then, the pumpkin mixture is whisked into the whipped coconut cream.
Next, the pumpkin coconut turmeric mousse is piped or spooned into serving glasses. A dollop of whipped coconut cream, a sprinkle of pumpkin spice and crumbled ginger cookies on top are finishing touches.
My sister-in-law and husband loved this decadently healthy dessert.

Where I live coconut cream comes in various sized cans and various percentages of fat. Can you tell me what size of can and % of fat?
Jeanette says
I used Trader Joe’s Coconut Cream. It comes in a 14 ounce can. The label says it has 25% total fat.
