Big News! We got a puppy!
Australian Labradoodle Puppy
My boys have always wanted a dog, but I was the scrooge for many years because I just didn’t think I could take care of it. As a mom of four boys, I had plenty to keep me busy. All the moms I talked to over the years told me that the bulk of the responsibility of taking care of the family dog is the mom’s. Now with three boys out of the house, and just one at home, I finally felt that I had the capacity to take on the responsibility of caring for a puppy.

Sunshine or “Sunny” is an Australian labradoodle. She’s super sweet and cute. She loves to play in the snow and be outside. I have to admit that with the arctic blast this past week, I would never have left my house if it wasn’t for our puppy.

We’re still working on potty training skills, but so far, she has been a great addition to our family. The boys got to see her before they went back to college, and they’re hoping she’s completely trained by the time they see her next.

Who knows, I might try making some healthy doggy treats ;).

I recognized your dog as an Australian Labradoodle right away. We have two ourselves! Great choice for a family dog. Enjoy!

Sunny is just darling! Gretchen and I are both “dog people” and both our families have pups – I totally know how much joy (and … ahem … chaos 😀 ) a new puppy adds to family life! I can’t imagine our family without our puppy, though, and I bet you’ll feel the same in no time! And I’m super excited about those homemade puppy treats 😀 …

She’s super cute! With four kids still at home, we’ll be waiting a long time for this kind of addition.
So I’ll just scroll back up and admire your darling little pup a little more.

Christina, as a mom of four, I wasn’t ready for a pup until three of my kids were out of the house. So glad I waited as there is no way I could give this beautiful pup the attention she needs if I had all my kids at home still. The responsibility definitely falls on the mom as I was warned ;).

What a sweet dog. I never for one day regret bringing home our now 7 year old labradoodle Ginger. She has been such a blessing to our family. Enjoy your sweet puppy. By the way Sunny was on our list of names.

Thanks everyone! She’s a great addition to our family. Potty training is definitely a challenge, but it’s so worth it!

Hi! Your puppy is soooo very cute! Congrats on getting it! My heart longs to get a new puppy again, & soon I hope! On May 17th of 2007 I lost my 14 year old
shih tzu to brain cancer. Then on January 23rd last year right on my birthday we had to put my 4 year old cat to sleep due to cancer of her nose. Pets really do keep our hearts alive in more ways than one Don’t they! Im sure the good Lord will bless me with another furry bundle of joy. Until then I sure do love to see & hear about other peoples happy fur babies & your new puppy is one of the cutest I’ve seen in a lately! By the way I’m new to your sight & just want to tell you how much I really enjoy your website! I really like all the he different subjects, & love all the good healthy recipes! I hope you will come up with some healthy dog treats too! The Lord bless you & your family!
