Here’s some Puppy Love from me to you, on Enjoying The Simple Things In Life.
Puppies just want to have fun. It seems so simple and so basic, but it’s a great reminder for me that it’s ok to just have some fun. There doesn’t have to be a reason, or a purpose, or a goal to everything.
It’s hard for me, as I’m very goal-oriented, and like to check things off my list, so unless something has a meaningful purpose, I probably won’t “waste my time” doing it.
But, I’m missing the point too many times. It’s not a waste of time at all. Being in the moment…savoring the moment is what it’s all about.
So, watching our puppy just prance around in the snow, chew on tree branches, eat snow, and burrow in the snow banks is a great reminder that we all need a little fun in our lives.
Don’t take life so seriously. I knew there was a reason we got this puppy. Here are a few fun videos of Sunny this week. In the first one, she is just having a blast with a simple tree branch.
For fun, here’s a slow motion video of our puppy going a little crazy outside.

I’m so glad that Sunny is reminding you to slow down and savor the moment. I wouldn’t be able to resist either, she’s so so adorable! Love the videos! Have a great weekend, Jeanette 🙂

Kelly – Sunny has really been a blessing – she’s forced me to slow down because I have to be home more and by doing so, enjoy the time I have with her, and to savor the moments.

Definitely will adopt another dog when my kids are older. But for now, 2 dachshunds and one cat is enough. However, sometimes I do find the only “rational person” in my life is my one wired haired dachshund. Those soulful eyes. He was truly my doula in labor, was there for me every step of the way! Great dog. Sounds like you have one too.

I’m so glad I went back into the archives to read this. I think this is a brilliant post. We have so much to learn from these ‘big little lives’ as Dean Koontz would say. Let them show us the way. (and that first photo… oh my goodness, could she be any cuter?) – Hugs, xx.
