Last weekend, I had the distinct pleasure of attending the 10th Anniversary Sun Wine Fest event at Mohegan Sun. I’ve never been to such a large event and it was really quite the thrill. I was busy tweeting and sharing on Facebook and Instagram all the sights to be seen – there was just so much to look at, taste and sample.
There was the Grand Wine Tasting, with over 1,000 brands of wine, as well as signature dish food samples from some of the area’s top restaurants.
There were also food samples, including Tre Olive olive oils, Wicked Natural Eggplant Caponata, and Vermont Creamery Aged Goat Cheese.
And for me, the highlight of the event were the live cooking demonstrations, including Food Network stars and Celebrity Chefs Robert Irvine, Donatella Arpaia, and Todd English. I even got my complimentary cookbook, Cooking in Everyday English autographed by the very handsome Todd English himself.
I was also able to meet up with Jennifer from Savoring the Thyme and Dorie Greenspan, as well as meet new friends, Greg and Wendy Limauge of Connecticut Bloggers.
As you can see, there was lots to sample at the WineFest! Thanks to Mohegan Sun for providing tickets for me and my friend to attend!
