Check out this Pinterest Board: MyPlate for Moms for Meal Ideas
Do you struggle with putting healthy meals on the table for yourself and your family? Are you looking for some quick and easy dinner ideas for nights when your family is all over the place with activities? Do you have a kid (or husband) that hates vegetables?
Then, join me this Thursday – I’ll be hosting an online event on Google Plus (don’t let that intimidate you – it’s actually very easy to use), featuring Elizabeth Ward, an award-winning registered dietitian, writer, and mother of three. She is the author of several books about pregnancy and family nutrition. Her latest book, MyPlate for Moms, How to Feed Yourself & Your Family Better, blends personal and professional wisdom to help readers better understand the dietary guidelines and how use them on a daily basis. MyPlate also serves up dozens of simple eating tips and nearly 60 delicious and nutritious recipes. Â In 2011, Ward received the Media Excellence Award from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She lives in the Boston area with her husband and daughters.

This online event will take place on Thursday, March 21st at 12:00 Noon Eastern Standard Time. All you have to do is click here and say “Yes” under “Are You Going?” The session will also be recorded and uploaded to YouTube, so if you can’t watch it live, you can watch it later. We’ll have a terrific panel made up of moms (Dara from Cookin’ Canuck, Christine from Cook The Story, Elizabeth from Asian In America, Kim from Liv Life and Liz from The Lemon Bowl) who are interested in feeding their families healthier meals. You can participate by asking questions during the session (just type your questions into the comments section).
The goal of this hangout is to help people feed themselves and their families (mine included) better (and healthier). Elizabeth Ward is going to help simplify eating healthy for us, and give us some great tips and ideas that we can put into place immediately – as in dinner that night right after the session. I know I’m always looking for new and easy ideas to make my life easier while making sure I am still feeding myself and my family as healthy as possible. Be sure to tune in.
