During the holidays, the main courses don’t seem to vary as much as the side dishes. In fact, I think many folks would agree that the side dishes are what make holiday meals special, and are often the table favorites.

Today, I’ve got a huge roundup of healthier side dishes for the holidays featuring a wide variety of fresh produce. I love the naturally vibrant color of sweet potatoes, beets, and carrots, and I love mixing up textures with crunchy brussels sprout slaw. These recipes are all on the lighter side so you can enjoy your holiday meal (and dessert).
