Rice Cooker Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Recipe

Ingredients

Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

  • 1 cup gluten-free rolled oats
  • 1 apple cored, diced
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 3/4 cup almond milk
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • a pinch of ground cardamon
  • a pinch of ground nutmeg

Optional Toppings

  • almond milk or another non-dairy milk
  • maple syrup
  • dried cranberries or other dried or fresh fruit
  • toasted pecans or other nuts or seeds

Instructions

  1. To make oatmeal, put all Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal ingredients in rice cooker and cook on "white rice" setting. Stir after 20-25 minutes.
  2. Serve with desired toppings.

Recipe Notes

The toppings made this a fun breakfast treat. Add whatever dried or fresh fruit you like, along with some toasted nuts or seeds. I found the apples added enough sweetness, but you can drizzle some maple syrup on top if you like it a little sweeter.
