Steamed Kale with Poached Egg and Sriracha Sauce - this simple breakfast is healthy, low carb, gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian. This can be enjoyed as part of the Daniel Plan meal plan.

Steamed Kale and Poached Egg with Sriracha Sauce

Servings 1

Ingredients

  • 2 cups kale leaves
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • sea salt
  • black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • sriracha sauce choose a brand with no preservatives or other hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Steam kale for 6-7 minutes, until just tender. Remove to serving plate. Drizzle a little olive oil on top and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Poach egg for 2 1/2 - 3 minutes; using a slotted spoon, drain and place on top of steamed kale.
  3. Drizzle some sriracha sauce on top and serve.
