This is a great recipe for using up bits and pieces of fresh sushi-grade tuna. When I made my Spicy Ahi Tuna Avocado Cucumber Appetizers, I needed uniform pieces of tuna, which resulted in some irregular pieces and scraps of tuna. Those scraps are perfect for turning into this easy appetizer.
As I reflect back on this past year, I think about how fortunate I am to have my health, my beautiful four boys and a loving and supportive husband. Tuna Avocado Tartare Bites
- 1 cup ahi tuna chopped fine
- 1/4 cup avocado chopped
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon gluten-free soy sauce
- sriracha sauce
- tortilla chips
- toasted sesame seeds as a garnish
- minced fresh chives as a garnish
- In a bowl, mix together tuna, avocado, sesame oil and soy sauce. Spoon onto tortilla chips and put a small dollop of sriracha sauce on top. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and minced chives.
