Use any combination of berries. This recipe is great for overripe or bruised berries. Frozen berries work well too. Serve with yogurt and granola, over pancakes or French toast, or with cake.
Place berries and sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cook 5 minutes until syrupy and berries soften and break down. Transfer to a food processor and process until smooth. Pour through a sieve if you like a silky smooth sauce.
