    • Thanks Junia! These are super kid friendly, an easy way to get them to try whole grains, and I agree, the chocolate chips don’t hurt.

  4. I would not feel guilty at all enjoying those wholesome muffins for the breakfast!

  5. These look great! Nice feature on ivillage as well. So many yummy whole grain muffins to choose from. Banana and chocolate are such a wicked pair.

  6. Awesome :) I like the new ‘layout’ of the blog ^^

  7. Well, I may not have kids but I do have a father who refuses to eat whole grain anything. My solution is to force feed him. 😛

I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t need much persuasion with these though. They look amazing!

    • Joanne – you crack me up! Although it is sometimes easier to force feed adults 😉 if you can convince them it’s good for them.

  8. Swoon! Every muffin needs a little chocolate in my opinion!

  9. Another great banana recipe to save – thanks – always looking for other things to do with my old bananas than the same banana bread . . .

    • Thanks – yes, this is a great way to use up those ripe bananas. I buy extra bananas just so I can make banana bread and banana muffins sometimes.

  10. I saw the recipe the other day when you shared via SU and bookmarked it. Congratulations once again Jeanette. Well deserved

    • Thanks Roxana, hope you have a chance to try these muffins. I know you’re such a good baker, so would love to hear what you think. 😉

  11. I usually don’t eat muffins b/c of the white flour and sugar. A whole wheat variety is so much more appealing…and yours look fabulous!

  12. These muffins look fantastic, Jeanette! Yay, congrats on being featured on iVillage too :) So far, my 3 year old will eat whole grains if I sneak in some sort of fruit. Hopefully it stays that way but he is starting to get pickier with a lot of food he used to love. These banana muffins would be a sure winner with him :)

    • Thanks Kelly! Using 1/2 whole grain flour in baked recipes seems to slide by the picky eaters, especially if you use one that’s not dark in color.
